Inga Sempé is a French designer graduating in 1993 from ENSCI-Les Ateliers in Paris, where she lives and works at present. She was a scholarship bearer at the Villa Medici, Académie de France in Rome from 2000 to 2001, and launched her own studio the following year.

Sempé's design is characterized by a lightness of touch, accompanied by a strong personality, and a tactile touch of quality.
Her approach is centered on the concept of everyday usage, thus, she frequently experiences materials with distinctive features to meet the demand of a daily function.

Cappellini, Alessi, HAY, and Magis are among the brands for whom Inga Sempé has created a range of furniture, lighting, objects, and textiles. Her artwork has been widely shown over the world, and she has received several famous international design awards, including the Grand Prix de la Création de la Ville de Paris in 2003 and the Red Dot Design Award in 2007.
