Born in 1967, Kasper Salto is considered one of the leading protagonists of contemporary Danish furniture design. The Runner Chair marks the beginning of a long series of award-winning chairs from Salto's feather. In 1998 he founded his own office and from where he has produced objects such as the ICE collection or the Nap chair for Fritz Hansen. Kasper's inspiration is largely drawn from the Danish design tradition and modern industrial design: for him, the combination of aesthetically pleasing and at the same time functional forms stands in the foreground.
